Chiranjeevi Wants AP To Follow Telangana

At the 2026 Gaddar Film Awards Chiranjeevi appreciated the Telangana government for bringing back state film awards and honoring artists.

He said that such recognition encourages talent and supports the growth of cinema. At the same time he expressed concern that AP has been falling behind in encouraging the film industry.

He requested CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu to take inspiration from Telangana and restart film awards in the state.

Chiranjeevi pointed out that for nearly ten years there have been no official state awards in AP which has disappointed many in the industry.

His comments brought attention to the need for government support to recognize and motivate filmmakers and artists.
